The Life Awake Story

Life Awake was born from conversations between seekers who care more about truth than performance—and more about presence than perfection.

This space wasn’t planned. It emerged.

Life Awake began as a conversation. Not one with answers—but one with room to ask better questions. A conversation between two people walking the path of presence, shedding layers of performance, and slowly remembering what’s real.

We didn’t set out to start something. We just kept showing up—for ourselves, and eventually, for others.

This space grew from that quiet beginning. It’s for anyone who feels the ache of disconnection… anyone who’s ready to let go of the old stories… and anyone who’s looking for a place to land that doesn’t require fixing, proving, or pretending.

Our Philosophy

We believe that relief from human suffering can begin when we question the lens itself: the stories we’ve inherited, the identities we cling to, the idea that life is happening to us. In shared presence and honest inquiry, we remember that peace isn’t found in fixing ourselves or the world—it’s found in seeing clearly. This is the quiet revolution of living life awake.

Team

Life Awake isn’t a company—it’s a collaboration. A shared field held by people who care deeply about walking the path with integrity, presence, and humility. While the podcast may be your first entry point, there’s a team holding the container behind the scenes—each bringing their own medicine, their own lived wisdom, and their own way of showing up with heart. What unites us is a shared commitment to truth, presence, and real human connection. We don’t believe in hierarchy, but we do honor roles—and each of us brings something distinct to this unfolding space.

  • Ori Zimmels

    FOUNDER & SPIRITUAL ANCHOR

Ori is the founder and philosophical heart of Life Awake. The tone, rhythm, and depth of the offering all begin with his way of being—rooted in presence, shaped by years of spiritual inquiry, and refined through lived experience. Life Awake emerged from Ori’s ongoing devotion to truth and his refusal to speak from anywhere but the present moment. As the space continues to evolve from a mentoring practice, a growing community, and into a podcast, Ori holds the center as a guide and teacher—someone who lives the questions and invites others into direct contact with what is. His role is to ensure that Life Awake remains unpolished, unhurried, and true to its essence: a space where presence leads, and awakening unfolds at its own pace.

  • Jay Monger

    PARTNER & CO-CREATOR

Jay is a core partner in Life Awake and serves as both collaborator and guide within the container of the work. With a background in therapeutic practice and a deep sensitivity to emotional truth, Jay brings a stabilizing presence to everything Life Awake touches. He listens more than he speaks—and when he does speak, it’s with clarity, care, and integrity. Jay helps ensure that the work remains grounded, relationally attuned, and emotionally honest. His presence acts as a kind of tether—quietly helping the project stay close to what’s real, and gently reflecting when it starts to drift. As a co-creator, he holds the space alongside Ori not only through dialogue, but through the invisible labor of attunement, discernment, and quiet leadership.

  • Tamara Helm

    OPERATIONS GUIDE

Tamara holds the shape of Life Awake—gently guiding the rhythms that allow the deeper work to emerge. With a foundation in experience design, creative strategy, and leadership, she brings a steady presence behind the scenes, making sure the pace of the offering stays true to its essence. Her gift is making the invisible visible: shaping spaces, systems, and offerings that let the soul of the work shine through. She brings structure without rigidity, and an eye for what’s possible and unfolding. With a deep belief in the healing power of human connection, Tamara walks alongside this work with care, intuition, and a deep devotion to its integrity.
