Psychedelic Preparation and Integration

The point is not the peak experience. It is the process of taking what you learned and bringing it into your daily life.

Moving beyond the peak experience

Psychedelics are everywhere now. People travel great distances to sit with shamans in the Amazon, and share stories of the extraordinary experiences this world opens for them. There is a lot of money involved, and many people are happy to sell promises of miraculous transformation.

Those transformations are real, and they do happen. Even a single experience can change a life. But for most people, and for the long run, this is not how it works.

For many people, psychedelics, or what we call medicine journeys, easily become a form of experiential tourism. You take time away from your daily life to visit something else, something out of the ordinary.

There is great benefit and healing that can come from that. But in the end, it is about returning home, and integrating the gifts of the journey into your daily life.

I have spent many years in this world. I have seen much blessing, and also much harm: careless practice that hurt people, and mystical openings that left them too open, too unhinged, and too destabilized.

This is why proper preparation and integration are needed, so you know what you are stepping into, and know how to come back from it.

What I offer

Before a journey

  • Education about the different medicines, and which may fit your intentions and situation.

  • Education about microdosing and its different possibilities.

  • What to expect, and how to prepare.

  • Understanding the healing aspects of a journey, and the spiritual ones.

After a journey

  • Help integrating a journey you have already had.

  • Help putting context to a difficult experience that left too many questions open.

  • Counsel on what to do next.

  • Finding the right balance, so you don't fall into the trap of doing too many journeys.

Questions about medications or health conditions belong with your doctor, and I will tell you when something is outside my scope.
